During the initial consultation, we will bring a copy of the service agreement with us. However, if you have the opportunity to review it prior to us arriving that would be great. If you are able to print the agreement and complete it to the best of your knowledge ahead of time that would be excellent. The service agreement defines the services you are requesting so it is clear to both parties what the expectations are.

Yes. It is wise to have your house checked regularly while you are away for many reasons including potential property damage, security and meeting insurance requirements. If you have not had your home checked on a regular basis, and a water pipe bursts causing extensive water damage, your insurance company may not pay for the very costly repairs.
We recommend 1-2 times per month. However, it may depend on the services you need. For example, you may require more frequent visits for watering indoor plants or checking on pets. Some insurance policies require a home to be checked on a regular basis to prevent a lapse in coverage.
If during our inspection we find something that is broken (for example an issue with the landscaping drip system), we will first narrow down the issue to a specific area or component. We will then turn off the broken system if necessary to prevent any further damage. We will contact you immediately and let you know what we found and recommend a solution. Most minor issues we can fix on the spot as listed in our additional services. Other major issues we will recommend a professional, schedule them and meet them at the property for repairs. All additional services and charges would be first approved by the customer.
Yes. We recommend doing the following before you leave:
- Notify your neighbor that BlueSky HomeWatch will be periodically checking on your
home and give them our business card to contact us if they notice anything suspicious.
- Suspend your mail service. If you don't or forget, we will still check your mailbox and bring
in your mail during our inspections.
- Make sure fridge is cleaned out of food that will spoil. Most people remove all food.
- Remove any dirty dishes from dishwasher.
- Drain water fountains and cover to prevent filling with rain water.
